Help shape the Palimpsest Path
The Palimpsest Path evolves over eight weeks, with a new chalk prompt introduced every fortnight. If you walk the Cygnet Boardwalk regularly — or if you’ve been following the project — your ideas genuinely matter.
Tell me what you’d like to see. Suggest a prompt direction, propose an artwork theme, or describe the kind of mark you’d want to leave on the boardwalk. The best ideas will find their way into the project.
What kinds of ideas are welcome?
- Prompt suggestions — A question, invitation, or theme for walkers to respond to in chalk. Could be about Cygnet, the water, memory, connection, movement, or anything else that feels right for the space.
- Artwork ideas — A visual approach, a motif, a colour palette, a technique. Dance steps were the starting point — what comes next?
- General ideas — Anything about how the project works, what it could become, or who else should be involved.
You don’t need to give your name or email. Ideas can be completely anonymous. If you’re happy for your suggestion to be shared publicly as part of the project record, tick the box below.
Ideas are read by Peter Shanks, the project lead. No personal data is required and nothing is published without your consent.
