inflatable sculpture

A few months ago I read about some amazing sculpture on the Wooster collective blog. The (then-unidentified) artist used plastic bags to create a bear lying over a subway grate. When trains went by the air would inflate the animal and make it look like it was moving. Then I then found a video on YouTube…

Today I found out that Joshua Allen Harris made it, and that he’d gone on to bigger creations, as you can see in this a video interview on the New York magazine website. There are some hints on construction here too, it’s almost enough to make you wish you lived in a city (with a subway) :^)
